James “Jimmy” Berry age 81 of Buford, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009. Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Saturday, April 25, 2009 in the Chapel of Tapp/Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Jon Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Berry was a United States Army Korean War Veteran, retired after 33 ½ years from the Bona Allen Tannery, a member of First Baptist Buford, and a member of the Adult IV Men’s Bible Class. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents James and Carrie Berry; brother Kenneth Berry; sister Frances Sims; granddaughters Jennifer Berry and Natalie Mercier; son-in-law Harry Mercier. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Janice Berry; sons and daughter-in-law Kenneth Berry; Bobby and Helen Berry; daughters and son-in-law Ruth Jane and Gaines Price; Marie Mercier, all of Buford. 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild survive.
